If you are, then a recent case from the Third Circuit Court of Appeal in Louisiana could stand in your way.

In Fontenot v. Newcomer, the Third Circuit found that grandparents who followed the mother, attended basketball games, drove by the children’s school, and parked behind the mother to prevent her car from moving did not rise to the threshold of physical abuse or verbal threats, or demonstrate the need for an immediate need for protect. Fontenot v. Newcomer, 10-1530 (La. App. 3 Cir. 5/4/11), 63 So.3d 1149 (2011).
