DRUG CHARGES

Drug Charges Lawyer in New Orleans

Time is of the essence with all criminal charges: the sooner you hire a lawyer, the stronger your defense. My name is John Radziewicz, and I am a criminal defense attorney with a passion for justice and protecting the rights of the accused.

In the Louisiana court system, the average public defender is trying to manage 150 active cases and possibly twice as many inactive cases. I am able to keep a small caseload, which allows me to focus my full attention on the needs and special circumstances of each client. Your freedom and future won’t get lost in an impossible caseload.

Felony and Drug Trafficking Defense Attorney in Gretna and New Orleans

Are you facing felony drug charges for drug trafficking, manufacturing, possession with intent to distribute, or the possession of specific drugs, like cocaine, crack or heroin?

Your charges and circumstances surrounding your arrest all always unique. As your New Orleans drug crimes attorney, I will aggressively fight for your rights and your freedom both in and out of court. I will examine the charges, consider the evidence, and take the time to listen to your side of the story. If you did not commit the crime you were accused of, I will fight to prove your innocence. If the evidence is strong against you, I will work hard to mitigate the potential consequences.

Expungements

There are two ways to remove a criminal charge from your record:

  1. The most common method is to negotiate entry into the diversion program before a plea or conviction. As a criminal defense attorney, I have negotiated entry into the pre-trial diversion program for numerous first time offenders, particularly those facing marijuana and theft charges. When the program is successfully completed, all charges are dropped and removed from your record.
  2. The second method is to request an expungement after the conviction. This is more difficult, but there are circumstances where the court will consider it. I have experience successfully petitioning the court for expungement and will help you evaluate your situation and walk through the process.
